![]() Which way did you build your party? Focused towards fighting, or exploration/conversation?ġ companion focusing on Might, 1 companion focusing on Intellect, 1 companion focusing on intellect and speed, especially speed, and me - the last Castoff - focusing on intellect and speed, especially intellect.įocusing = using all edge points and most skill points. I'd occasionally use some healing items, but only after I got to the Bloom, and only after I realized I was drowning in them. I never got over the 'Better Save That Until It Really matters' impulse that video games have trained me in for years, so the only reason I ever used Cyphers was when I had run out of space and people were getting Cypher sick, or the ones that gave permanent stat boosts. Are you using cyphers, skills and other items to boost your success chances regularly? Just right in the beginning, until you figure out that you either need to put points into Initiative or buy new armor. Did you notice any difficulty spikes? (for instance, we know some people found the Bloom Heart to be extremely hard running up to release) By the time I hit the Bloom, everyone's Edge was so high that I was able to push max damage pretty much whenever I liked, bypassing that mechanic as well. Combat became trivial around the same time, when I got the Last Castoff a piece of armor sufficient enough to survive the AI driven gang bang every first turn is without Initiative. What part of the game did you feel like things were getting easy for you? Did this apply to combat, conversations, or both?Ībout a third of the way through Sagus I got to the point where I was autopassing just about every skill check. Roleplay is an interesting aspect, I'm not used to roleplay but definitely try when reflex don't act first. During chapter 2 some could be tougher, but I haven't quote yet any of those mandatory. Combats are depending of your roleplay, you can have a few more or very few. I confirm that overall the game isn't build for challenges, a detail, there's no difficulty level. Stories/quests are great, world and lore too, the main story is only a thin thread, at least during chapter 1 and first parts of chapter 2. My trick was to focus on one or two quests and avoid exhaustive clicking/triggering in an area. At beginning of the game the mass of stories, characters, lore, could easily overload player. The game is great for stories (quote I didn't wrote story) and characters and lore and world, plus roleplay. Moreover those players whine it's a lot too easy, but did they try play trio, duo or solo? Nope, it's saying all. ![]() The problem is the game isn't done for this kind of players that is sure. Lol Bombast dedicates his life to destroy the game, seems like a a major responsibility for him.
